1993 Skybox American Vintage Cycles (aka Kenny Lofton: biker dude.)

As I’ve said earlier, I’d buy almost anything in trading card form. So while I was making my big antique store purchase earlier this week, I grabbed a few packs of these 3 for a dollar. I didn’t even know they inserted sports figures in them and I guess I got lucky here. I pulled this foil Kenny Lofton card featuring him, his motorcycle and his jet in the background… lol.

Card of the Day: 2003 Donruss Champions Jeremy Guthrie Auto 385/400

I was browsing on eBay for bargains and ended up with this one for 25 cents plus shipping. He seems to be doing well for himself lately and has made a name for himself over at Baltimore. Seemed like a real steal.

1996 Topps Stadium Club Series 2 baseball

I picked up this pack out of a stack of 4-for-a-buck packs, among other deals I found up at an antique store I will definitely be going back to on the Oregon coast. This is the first I’ve seen of Stadium Club of this year and it looks so good, I just might have to go looking for a box! The eight cards in this pack included 3 insert cards and 3 hall of famers (plus 1 future HOF). I’m stoked!

The scan does not do this one justice as it is a beautiful foil card.

This one could have been part of the Topps Laser series.

This also suffers a scanner injustice. The wrapper says these are “double foil stamped”. Sure looks nice.

The other 3 cards pulled were #315 Rusty Greer, #382 Mark Lemke and #425 Gregg Jefferies

Blaster Break: 2009 Press Pass Football pack 6 of 8

Here’s a 4th different Stafford card I’ve pulled so far. Unfortunately this one’s dented badly on both edges and has a crease right up the middle.

The 4th card in this pack was a double.. #59 Kenny Britt.

Card of the Day: 1991 ProCards Tomorrow’s Heroes #259 Matt Stairs

Matt really blew me away when he pinched in game 4 of the NLCS last year and launched one off of Jonathan Broxton giving the Phillies the lead. They went on to win that one.

2004 Topps Total Baseball

I had no idea Topps tried the Topps Total brand on baseball until now. I had only seen football in stores in the last 2 years since I’ve started collecting again. Interesting set..

Tim Raines Jr. and his father both played in the same game in 2001, matching what this Griffeys did with the Mariners. Jr. is currently playing baseball in Taiwan. (Wow)

I got to see this guy play at Safeco in April.. helluva talent.
